What happens in each phase
Phase 1
This will take approximately seven weeks to complete. During this time, Montrose Terrace will be closed with access for residents and businesses only.
Phase 2 to 5
Once phase 1 is finished, the contractors will then work eastwards to complete phases 2 to 5.
Phase 6
Road resurfacing will take place once all other work is finished. This will be overnight to minimise delays and congestion on the surrounding road network and to help local businesses, whilst also reducing the impact on local schools and emergency services. We will make sure that the noisiest work will take place before 11pm.
